GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

At The LUNA Method we offer group fitness classes specifically designed for the unique needs of the female body through all stages of womanhood, pregnancy & postpartum. Our fitness techniques are beneficial for all women with a pelvic floor and a core (that's you!) therefor you do NOT need to be a mother or have physically birthed a child to benefit from our fitness classes & our community.

We offer a variety of fun, safe, challenging, and highly effective group fitness classes including Strength Training, Barre, Yoga Sculpt, Pilates, & High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) all under one roof! Our classes are taught by our staff of skillfully trained pre/postnatal fitness experts. Please refer to our class descriptions below for more info. Please note that ALL of our fitness classes are designed for both pregnant and postpartum women of all fitness levels, and are diastasis recti, pelvic floor injury, and prolapse safe. Pre-crawling babies are welcome in all of our fitness classes and we provide on site childcare for older kiddos! 

Fitness Class Descriptions

All of our fitness classes are designed for both pregnant and postpartum women of all fitness levels, and are diastasis recti, pelvic floor injury and prolapse safe. Please note that we do NOT recommend starting with our PHIIT Mama class as your first class at The LUNA Method. We encourage you to take one of our other classes first and working your way up to that class as it is the most intense of our fitness class offerings. 

LUNA Fusion™:

Our signature LUNA Fusion class is a high intensity, low impact total body workout will provide you with a safe, sweaty, highly effective, yet still challenging way to exercise throughout your pregnancy and post-baby (regardless of how old your kiddos are!) By combining larger compound exercises with intervals of smaller, isometric movements we will get you to tap into the two main muscle types to help build strength, improve stability, balance & posture, and increase muscular endurance. We will teach you how to properly integrate your pelvic floor and deep core muscles into each exercise and movement, building a truly strong & functional core unit.

*This class is open to ALL women & fitness levels, and is safe & effective for both pregnant & postpartum women as well as women who have had a c-section, currently have diastasis recti and/or pelvic floor issues.

Mama Strong:

Our signature Mama Strong class focuses on building strength from the inside out, leaving you feeling strong and empowered in YOUR body. Using heavier weights (5-8 lb hand weights & 15 lb kettlebells) as well as resistance, we will guide you through a series of full body strength training circuits using functional movements, proper breath & core/pelvic floor recruitment, and alignment.

*This class is open to ALL women & fitness levels, and is safe & effective for both pregnant & postpartum women as well as women who have had a c-section, currently have diastasis recti and/or pelvic floor issues.

LUNA Barre:

This fun class is LUNA's very own unique & strategic approach to Barre fitness. We have created a highly effective workout that will build strength, endurance, muscle tone, flexibility, stability, balance, and improve posture. With a strong focus on correct pelvic floor & core integration, dynamic breath led movement, & proper alignment, our barre classes combine elements of pilates, strength training, cardio, and yoga set to upbeat music to get you in the groove. Our signature Barre class is sure to get your heart pumping, your muscles burning, and leave you feeling strong, toned, centered, and empowered.

LUNAlates

Our LUNAlates class is our own strategic & highly effective approach to mat Pilates. With a strong focus on breathwork and pelvic floor & deep core work, our LUNAlates class will help you build strength, muscle endurance, & stability while improving flexibility & postural alignment to help prevent & alleviate common discomforts such as back, shoulder, neck, & hip pain and improving overall core strength & function. Using Pilates rings, resistance, hand weights, and your own body weight, our LUNAlates class will challenge you in new + different ways through isometric holds, pulses, and controlled movements.

*This class is open to ALL women & fitness levels, and is safe & effective for both pregnant & postpartum women as well as women who are recovering from a c-section, currently have diastasis recti and/or pelvic floor issues.

PHIIT Mama

This class is The LUNA Method's exclusive approach to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) that is Pre & Postnatal safe! (hence the "P" in PHIIT) This is a fun, fast paced, highly effective, & challenging workout specifically designed to get your heart rate up & your muscles burning all while incorporating diaphragmatic breath, correct recruitment of the core and pelvic floor, and proper alignment into each exercise + movement. This class is a fusion of high intensity exercises & cardio bursts with the use of kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, and your own bodyweight through time based intervals.

*This class is open to ALL women & fitness levels, and is safe & effective for both pregnant & postpartum women as well as women who are recovering from a c-section, currently have diastasis recti and/or pelvic floor issues, however we do NOT recommend this as your first class at LUNA. Postpartum women should be at least 3 months postpartum before joining this class.
